For over 10 years, Brandon has worked with both children and adults with various forms of developmental and learning disabilities. In 2002 his work with Best Buddies was featured in a documentary aired nationally on NBC. During his involvement, he acted as a chapter coordinator, treasurer, fundraiser and mentor. Brandon has worked with LAUSD’s Continuation High Schools program which works with at risk youth; many of whom have behavioral and learning impairments. For over 5 years he found and ran a community center in Santa Cruz, CA that operated on a budget, solely comprised of donations and volunteers, during which time funds were raised for other local non-profits. For his work he was awarded among other acknowledgements, the UC Santa Cruz Porter Resident of the Year.
